What is a grace period and how can I know more about it?

‘Grace Period’ is typically the extra time provided beyond the deadline that involves no consequences whatsoever. In the car rental industry, many suppliers provide their customers with grace periods, allowing them to pick up or drop off their rentals after the scheduled time within their operational hours.

Note: All the information related to the supplier’s business hours and grace period will be mentioned in the Rental Confirmation Voucher.

Pick-up: Companies that offer grace periods don’t penalize or charge their customers. The booked deal remains secure during the suggested duration. However, failing to show up to collect the car within this period might result in your supplier marking the deal as a ‘No Show’, which basically translates to no refund.

Pick-up: Similar to the pick-up policy, suppliers allow renters to return the car beyond the scheduled drop-off time for a brief duration. Not getting the car back within this time frame might result in the supplier charging you extra either on a per-day or hourly basis.

Whether you will be arriving late, during the grace period or beyond that, make sure to inform the supplier of the delay.
