Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP) or International Driving License (IDL) to rent a car?

An International Driving Permit or License requirement, mostly depends on the country you are travelling to.

It could be required in such cases:

• The original driver’s license is not in the Roman alphabet. 
• If the car rental company lists it as the one of valid document to rent a car.
