A valid Driver's License, issued in the country of residence, is required to rent a car. Photocopies, restricted licenses, and provisional/learned licenses are usually not accepted by the suppliers.
Additionally, in some countries, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or International Driving License (IDL) is a requirement if the driver’s license is not in the Roman alphabet or could be a general requirement of the supplier as well.
How long do I need to have held my driver's license to rent a car?
Usually, most suppliers require the renters to have held a driver’s license for at least a year, however, the terms and conditions tend to vary for each company.
Please refer to the supplier “Rental Terms” to know the exact Driver's License Requirements.
