Car rental companies charge an additional amount for cross-border travel. The cross-border fee is not a part of the rental quote that appears in the search result; it is paid separately at the desk. Also, there are restrictions in place on which countries you can take your car to. Ensure to inform the supplier of your plans to cross the border in advance so that they can prepare the paperwork.
